Laos new energy bus inspection has achieved complete success

On January 29, 2024, a delegation of 17 people from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Lao PDR, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Investment and Planning of Laos arrived at Chery & Wanda Guizhou Bus Co., Ltd. for a friendly visit and vehicle inspection for the new energy bus project.
This visit is a showcase of the cooperation achievements and a deeper exchange between Chery & Wanda Bus and Laos’ new energy project. The cooperation aims to enhance the level of green travel in Laos public transport, provide local residents with greener, more convenient and more comfortable bus travel services, and create a model for the construction of green transport in the "Belt and Road".


During the visit, the Lao delegation held a discussion with Mr. Zhang Jian (general manager) and the marketing team of Chery & Wanda Bus. Both sides had an in-depth discussion on the cooperation between Chery Bus and Laos' new energy projects. During the meeting, Mr. Zhang made a detailed introduction of Chery Group to the Lao delegation: Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd. owns a number of automobile manufacturing enterprises such as wholly-owned Chery Automobile and Chery Commercial Vehicle, and the group's annual revenue exceeds 300 billion yuan, and the annual sales volume of automobiles exceeds 1,880,000 vehicles for 21 consecutive years to keep the first export of Chinese brand passenger cars.
At the same time, it is stated that both sides can engage in deep cooperation in various fields, including buses, heavy trucks, light trucks, logistics, passenger cars, etc., to help Laos build a high-quality green public transportation service system and promote local socio-economic development.



Accompanied by Mr. Zhang Jian, the Lao delegation visited the production workshop and the bus production line to gain a comprehensive understanding of the vehicle's structure and performance. During the visit, the accompanying staff gave Laos’ technicians a detailed product introduction and provided professional answers to their questions. The rich professional knowledge and proficient working ability also left a deep impression on the delegation.



In the vehicle inspection, members of the Lao Technical Committee tested the excellent performance of the bus in all aspects, including the inspection of the whole vehicle steering and braking system, driving and transmission system, and the full-load acceleration test, etc. They also experienced how the vehicle rides in a variety of simulated road conditions on the test track.

At last, the Lao delegation was very satisfied with the vehicle inspection. After the test, both sides signed a memorandum of the inspection. They also highly appreciated Chery & Wanda Bus and fully affirmed the company's R&D capability, production capacity and management ability.
