From 9-13 October, the Lao delegation conducted a vehicle inspection of 55 electric buses at Chery & Wanda’s factory.
A ceremony was held on October 12 for preparing of delivering the 55 E-buses to Vientiane, Lao PDR.
Mr. Zhang, General Manager of Chery & Wanda Bus, highlighted that the cooperation extends to full support for Laos' sustainable urban transportation project through technical expertise and professional capabilities. It also reflects the deepening of cooperation and mutual benefit between China and Laos under the “Belt and Road” initiative.
The project manager from Vientiane Sustainable Urban Transport Project expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting the high quality and attractive design of the buses. He warmly invited everyone to experience the new bus line in Laos once once they are put into operation.
A noteworthy aspect of this partnership is the use of the China-Laos Railway as the logistics channel. This marks the first time a dedicated train has been deployed for vehicle exports from Guizhou to Laos, paving the way for more convenient and efficient logistics for future cooperation and trade between the two regions.
Chery & Wanda Bus will continue to leverage its technological innovation and commitment to quality, providing more high-performance new energy buses to support the development of Laos’ transportation infrastructure and contribute to the shift toward clean energy.
